Job Summary :

SkywayMotorspaceis seeking a detail-orientedLot Porter to join our team who is passionate about cars. This individual will be responsible for overseeing vehicle drop-offs, conducting thorough vehicle inspections for prior scratches and damages, and creating comprehensive photo documentation. The Lot Porter will also be responsible for moving vehicles inside the facility, performing monthly start-ups and battery checks, and providing excellent client service by presenting vehicles during pick-up. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to interact professionally with high-end clients.

Key Responsibilities :

Vehicle Drop-offs :

• Oversee the process of vehicle drop-offs at the facility, ensuring smooth and organized arrivals.
• Safely park vehicles in designated areas inside the facility.

Vehicle Inspections & Documentation :

• Conduct detailed inspections of all incoming vehicles to identify and document any pre-existing scratches, damages, or issues.
• Take high-quality photos of each vehicle from multiple angles to ensure proper documentation of vehicle condition.
• Organize and maintain photo documentation for future reference and client requests.

Vehicle Movement :

• Safely move and park vehicles inside the facility as needed, maintaining order and organization of the lot.
• Ensure vehicles are stored in an optimal manner on the racks to prevent any damage.

Monthly Start-ups & Battery Checks :

• Perform monthly vehicle start-ups and run the engines to ensure battery health and general vehicle functionality.
• Check and report any maintenance concerns such as battery condition or other issues that may need attention.

Client Service & Vehicle Presentation :

• Provide excellent customer service by presenting vehicles in a clean and organized condition during pick-up.
• Ensure the clients vehicle is in prime condition and ready for collection when they arrive, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Assist clients with any questions or concerns during vehicle pick-up and ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience working with high-end or luxury vehicles is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot even minor scratches or damage.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and document findings thoroughly.
• Comfortable with vehicle handling, including moving cars within a facility.
• Strong communication skills, particularly in client-facing situations.
• A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance is preferred (e.g., battery checks, engine start-ups).
• Fluent in driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Loading and unloading vehicle transport trailer is preferred.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, squat, and work in various positions to inspect and document vehicles.
• Prolonged periods of walking and standing.

Working Hours :

• Full-time position. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Compensation :

• $18-20 hourly
• Benefits package available.
