Job Description

Olive-Harvey College is seeking a full-time energetic College Recruiter to promote our institution and programs. Our College Recruiters are essential for recruiting new students and consulting with potential students and their families on the benefits of attending this college. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess high levels of customer service and interpersonal communication skills, and be self-directed and innovative.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contact and meet with high school counselors and teachers to explain the benefits of a CCC education. Participate in classroom visitations and special events to promote CCC to potential students. Provide information on admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, mail, and personal visits; follow up as needed. Assist new students with the application process and explain career options. Produce follow-up reports on activities and recruiting plans. Attend departmental and college meetings to stay informed about new educational areas of interest. Coordinate activities with colleagues, other programs, departments, and outside agencies. Support multi-campus events and tours. Implement special projects and initiatives. Serve as a resource for recruitment training and new student enrollment processes. Develop recruitment plans for academic programs and promote awareness of student services. Coordinate education fairs at local businesses. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Guidance, Psychology, or Marketing, with five (5) years of experience in marketing, college recruiting, or promotion; a combination of education and experience may be considered. Ability to organize and implement complex projects. Proficient in computer software and familiar with curriculum offerings and admissions policies. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills for individual and group interactions. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Team player with the ability to work with diverse backgrounds. Self-directed and innovative, with the ability to assess and improve operations. Ability to meet deadlines. Salary: $61,006 per year. This position is represented by Local 1600 Union. Chicago residency is required within six months of hire.
