Our client is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to oversee complex, high-value construction projects from preconstruction to completion. This is an on-site/in-office role in Scottsdale with minimal travel.

Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all work stays aligned with scope, budget, and timeline targets.
- Create, update, and manage project timelines, adjusting schedules as project conditions evolve.
- Coordinate the submission and tracking of essential project documents such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project-related paperwork.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and high-quality execution.
- Manage the procurement and contracting process, selecting qualified vendors and trades to meet project needs and standards.
- Negotiate terms with subcontractors to align with budget, scope, and schedule objectives.
- Track financial performance, monitor job costs, and assist with forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining positive cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align on progress and resolve challenges.
- Serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, providing updates and maintaining clear, professional communication.
- Identify potential risks early and implement strategies to keep the project on track and within budget.
- Communicate critical risk factors to leadership and stakeholders, including recommended mitigation plans.
- Support problem resolution by guiding internal teams and external partners toward timely, effective solutions.
- Conduct site inspections to verify construction progress, enforce safety regulations, and uphold quality standards.
- Regularly review project delivery practices and suggest improvements for increased efficiency and performance.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance to Project Engineers and entry-level PMs to support their development and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Perform additional duties as needed to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of proven success managing construction projects across varying scopes and scales. Multifamily, affordable housing experience is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex builds in construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Skilled in mentoring and supervising junior team members, with a strong track record of leadership.
- Advanced knowledge of construction phases, project workflows, and documentation protocols.
- Proficient in all aspects of project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk analysis.
- Experience overseeing vendor relationships and negotiating favorable subcontract agreements.
- Solid understanding of industry safety practices, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Strong ability to anticipate issues and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in project tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage concurrent projects effectively.
- Capable of prioritizing workloads in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with teams and stakeholders.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable operating both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Adaptable to evolving priorities and committed to delivering results in a high-paced setting.
