We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Network Engineering with deep hands-on expertise in Fortinet technologies and leadership experience in network security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a high-performing engineering team, leading network modernization initiatives, and ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of network security engineers.
• Collaborate with the Head of Infrastructure to define and execute network modernization strategy.
• Design, implement, and oversee secure network architectures utilizing the full Fortinet suite.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with managed service providers (MSPs).
• Configure and support FortiGate firewalls including high availability, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and UTM features.
• Deploy and manage centralized operations through FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
• Monitor network activity and respond to security threats and incidents.
• Conduct risk assessments and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and standard procedures.
• Provide advanced technical support and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend support when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Strong command of the Fortinet security stack (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient EMS).
• In-depth understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
• Expertise in secure remote access, segmentation, and threat protection.
• Solid knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
• Proven leadership, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (NSE 5–7 preferred).
• Experience integrating Fortinet with third-party platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta).
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, Ansible).
• Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and cloud security models.
• Background in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare is a plus.
