Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is located on the serene island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and is a family-owned and managed beach resort nestled in a beautiful sandy bay along the Caribbean Sea. Known for our famous all-inclusive package, friendly hospitality, exciting experiences and one-of-a-kind guest amenities, there’s no better place to see life in the Virgin Islands than at Bolongo Bay. Our small, fun, lively and personable atmosphere allows us to offer guest and employee experience that is unlike any other big all-inclusive resort and it’s what makes us so unique and popular to this day. We are currently the only all-inclusive resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at our small, family-owned all-inclusive resort. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, values hospitality, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team committed to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms, suites, and public areas according to resort standards
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and amenities
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas
• Empty trash and ensure rooms are stocked and ready for new arrivals
• Report maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor promptly
• Assist with laundry duties when needed, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing
• Always follow safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests and staff
• Ensure guest privacy and handle lost and found items with care
• Support other housekeeping team members as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a hospitality or resort setting
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness
• Good physical stamina; able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand and move for extended periods
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Trustworthy, dependable, and respectful of guest and property confidentiality
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a family-oriented work culture

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Able to consistently clean and inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
• Capable of completing tasks efficiently and managing time effectively while adhering to a cleaning schedule.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy items for extended periods.
• Dependable and committed to showing up on time for scheduled shifts.
• Able to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and communicate clearly with guests and coworkers.
• Works well with others and contributes positively to a collaborative work environment.
• Maintains guest privacy and handles confidential or personal items respectfully.
• Able to adjust to changing guest needs, last-minute room changes, or unexpected tasks calmly and efficiently.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Follows all resort safety protocols, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hotel, resort, or similar setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working in hospitality or customer service environments is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and safety standards is beneficial.
