Key Responsibilities:

  • Staffing Coordination: Collaborate with multiple staffing agencies to fill hourly positions, ensuring staffing needs are met promptly and effectively.

  • Conversion Process: Manage the conversion of temporary employees to permanent Buddig employees, ensuring seamless transitions and compliance with company policies.

  • New Hire Orientation: Conduct comprehensive new hire orientations to welcome and onboard new employees, ensuring a positive and informative introduction to Carl Buddig and Company.

  • HR Initiatives: Assist HR in various initiatives, projects, and tasks as needed, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of HR operations.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports related to temporary staffing conversions and turnover, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Compliance: Ensure all hiring processes and activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices in HR.

  • Back- up: Must be able to back up receptionist as needed.

Problem Solving/Decision Making:

  • Must be able to identify new hire documentation such as identity and authorization to work.

  • Should be able to talk to staffing agency about the type of candidates we need.

  • Must be able to work with plant supervisors and managers on issues related to temporary staff.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, staffing, or related roles.

  • Certificates in Office Skills, Administration

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Must be reliable and dependable.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Working Conditions:

Location: On-site at Montgomery, IL, with occasional travel to other company locations as needed.

Schedule: Full-time, regular business hours with flexibility required based on operational needs.

Environment: Office and production floor settings, involving exposure to industrial operations.

Pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00/hour depending on experience.

Benefits for this role include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k) Plan with Company Match, Vacation & PTO, and Tuition Reimbursement. There is also a potential for a discretionary bonus this bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
