  • Lead a crew where your knowledge and experience keep jobs moving and set the tone for a hardworking, professional team.
  • Read the blueprints, make a plan, and ensure the crew has what they need to do the job right.
  • Communicate clearly with masons, forklift operators, and laborers to keep work running smoothly.
  • Set up the next work area, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are ready.
  • Step in to lay the block or brick when needed to keep the job on schedule.
  • Look ahead, plan for the coming days or weeks, and ensure everything is in place.
  • Manage the team, keep the job site productive, and lead with a positive example.
  • Be the point of contact in the field, updating the project manager on progress, issues, and next steps.
  • Work full-time, year-round, reporting to the shop at 6:30-7:00 AM and finishing by 4:30 PM most days.
  • Travel daily using a company work truck, with paid travel from the shop to the job site and back.

Zook Masonry is a faith-based commercial masonry company specializing in brick and block work for office buildings, warehouses, and senior living facilities. We have built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, reliable results, and a commitment to excellence in new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects over 30 years.

We seek a Masonry Foreman to lead our team with strong organization, communication, and hands-on expertise. This role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to oversee daily site operations, coordinate materials and crew members, and keep projects on track. If you have experience laying brick and block and reading blueprints in the masonry field, we'd love to have you join us.  

 

Our Ideal Masonry Foreman:

  • Experience : At least 5 years in Masonry, with a minimum of 3 years laying block and brick. Experience and skill in reading & interpreting blueprints and working on commercial masonry projects are required.
  • Leadership : Able to manage a crew, maintain a productive job site, and lead positively. Your experience is not as important as your attitude; we are willing to train the right person.
  • Problem Solver : Thinks ahead, anticipates challenges, and finds solutions to keep work moving.
  • Safety-focused : Prioritizes a safe work environment, follows regulations, and ensures the crew operates safely. OSHA certification is helpful but not required – we will help you get certified if needed.
  • Physically Capable : Able to bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights.
  • Driven : Motivated, takes the initiative, and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Team-Oriented: Communicates openly, works independently and with a team, stays organized, and leads effectively.
  • Must have basic hand tools.
