Job Opportunity: Safety Manager

Location: Sedalia, MO

Duration: 6 Months (March 3, 2025 – October 15, 2025)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team for a 10-month project in Sedalia, MO . This role is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment across various phases of construction, including earthwork, utilities, concrete, and steel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive safety knowledge, and the ability to enforce compliance with safety regulations.

Job Details:

• Start Date: March 3, 2025
• Approximate End Date: October 15, 2025
• Job Site Address: [To be provided upon hiring]
• Work Hours:
• Start Time: 6:30 AM
• Hours Per Day: 8-10
• Days Per Week: 5-6 (Saturdays required for approximately half of the project)
• Earthwork, utility, concrete, and steel phases will operate 6 days per week.

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of safety experience.
2. BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP, CIH) with 5+ years of safety experience.
3. OSHA 500 Certification with 6+ years of safety experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce safety programs and protocols on-site.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations.
• Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to promote a safety-first culture.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize safety initiatives.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
