Position: Java Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL- Hybrid (Tues-Thurs Onsite)

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire with possible extension or conversion to full-time

Overview:

We are seeking an Engineer with a background in Java Development to help manage DevOps, enhancements, bug fixes, etc. as our products expand in use, applications, and devices. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software systems and applications. Your background in both DevOps practices and Java development will be essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Own the design and development of software fixes, enhancements, and components.
2. Drive development through your own work and that of subordinate engineers.
3. Develop technical solutions aligned with specifications.
4. Execute component-level software projects using existing technologies.
5. Review and write code, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
6. Lead programming, testing, and debugging efforts.
7. Create documentation and tools for installation and maintenance.
8. Collaborate with other technical teams to coordinate deliverables.
9. Provide end-to-end troubleshooting expertise.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3-5 years of Java Development (Java 17 highly preferred)
• AWS Lambdas
• Spring Boot development
• Microservices

Preferred Skills:

• Database design (creating a consolidated platform for guest profiles). DynamoDB/MongoDB (xbms setup)
• GoLang

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable software systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Emphasis on maintainability, scalability, and defect-free coding.
• Proficiency in relevant technologies, including Git, Jenkins, Maven, Java, Spring, RESTful Web Services, and more.
