Job Description

Opportunity: Head of Speaking Department

FULLY REMOTE

Compensation: 100% COMMISSION-BASED with Competitive Splits w/ Department Revenue Sharing

Breakpoint Booking is seeking a driven and experienced individual to lead our Speaking Department. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the department's growth and mentor a team of agents while managing and expanding a roster of speakers.

The ideal candidate will be gritty, ambitious, and possess a strategic vision for developing talent and driving revenue. As Department Head, you will collaborate directly with the agency owner. This 100% remote, work-from-home position requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong passion for the speaking industry, and a self-motivated, proactive work ethic. Excellent calendar management and the ability to thrive under deadlines are essential.

New agents (including our department heads) benefit from our comprehensive, 16-week proprietary training program, covering all aspects of the booking process, from terminology to negotiation. This role is ideal for established agents seeking a new agency or plugged-in professionals looking for a fast track into the talent agency world.

As Department Head, you will be provided with the necessary resources for success, including an existing client roster, junior agents in training, Google Workspace, CRM and contracting software, agency contacts, and support from our assistant program.

Key Considerations:

  • Commission-based compensation with competitive splits and a percentage of departmental earnings.
  • Mandatory weekly video meetings requiring effective calendar management.
  • Fully remote, work-from-home environment (applicant to provide laptop, smartphone, and internet).
  • Significant earning potential with some of the best commission splits in the industry.
  • Structured weekly task lists.
  • Commitment of 20-25 hours per week.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Strong research, communication (calls & emails), and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

Ideal Candidate Profile: Prior agency experience is a significant plus. Must be motivated, driven, possess a strategic mindset, be tech-savvy, patient, and thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment. Excellent multitasking, collaboration, and time management skills are crucial. A passion for the entertainment/speaking industry and a desire to build a successful agency career are highly valued. Must demonstrate strong calendar management abilities.

To Apply: Submit your resume and a compelling cover letter outlining why you are the ideal candidate for this leadership role. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.

The Agent Training Program commences in September 2025.
